Sipi Falls is located near the town of Sipi. Sipi Falls is approximately a 5-7 hour drive from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, and about 1.5 to 2 hours from the town of Mbale.

Sipi Falls has a mild equatorial climate. There are two rainy seasons from March to May and September to November, with April and October being the wettest months.
