Join this special tour, explore the Bigodi village and get to know the rich culture and traditions of the Batooro and Bakiga people. During the tour, you get to know some of the local people as they for example teach you how to weave baskets and mats. You can also learn about their cooking habits, their traditional medicine practices, their agricultural techniques, or attend traditional dance performances and storytelling sessions. The latter will highlight the ceremonies, clans and challenges of the tribes.
This cultural encounter allows you to truly connect with the local communities and contribute to their development – any purchase of handmade bags, jewellery and handcrafts provides income and is used to support the school, orphans, widows and other disadvantaged people in the community.
