Hiking Mount Moroto

Mount Moroto is the highest mountain in the Karamoja region in the east of Uganda. With its 3000 meters, it offers amazing 3-hour, half-day, full-day and multiple day-hikes. Expect gigantic views over endless valleys with green majestic mountains rising in between, amazing sunsets, billions of stars in the sky at night (for those who go multiple days), and just in general a feeling of awe. Meet with Uganda’s mountain people, and experience nature in all its glory as you take in the views and spot monkeys, wild cats and some of the over 200 different kinds of birds along the way. No special equipment or technical experience is needed, but it is good to be physically fit because this challenging yet rewarding hike on Mount Moroto is bound to leave you breathless, both literally and figuratively!
