Did you know plantain is the favourite Ugandan food? And that the most popular street food is named after a well-known expensive watch? Learn all about Ugandan food and the art of Ugandan cooking in a cooking class in Kampala, where expert chefs explain the different dishes and ingredients to you and guide you through the cooking process. Since this is a vegetarian cooking class you will be peeling, cooking and eating matoke (the favourite and delicious plantain dish), and using ingredients such as sweet potatoes, cassava, yams, pumpkin, peanuts and avocado to create delicious dishes for a lunch to be shared. …And the street food named after the expensive watch? We leave that for you to discover it on the streets and try it there!
The cooking class starts at 10 AM and takes 4 hours (including lunch).
